Private Lessons

Private lessons in small group settings of five students or less are available upon request for 45 minutes. Private lessons are beneficial for students to receive one-on-one training with the instructor to enhance their technical dance skills, range of motion, and muscle flexibility through a variety of stretches, strengthening exercises, center exercises, and across-the-floor exercises. The lessons will focus on proper alignment and technique for variations of battements, pirouettes, and leaps. Parents should contact the front office or email office@thedancefactor.org for more information regarding private lessons, pricing, or to schedule a private lesson.

Annual Spring Dance Recital

  • Our annual themed dance production is one of our most fun and exciting opportunities to commemorate our entire dance year as it allows our students to showcase their talents by performing for their families and friends.
  • All students are invited to participate in the recital. Students will start learning their recital dances during their regular class times beginning in early January.
  • The annual recital is held at a local venue at the end of May or beginning of June. See Important Dates for schedule.
  • Student accounts must be paid in full with an account balance of $0 in order to participate in the recital.

  • Dress rehearsal is mandatory for all students participating in the recital. Dress rehearsal is extremely important as it provides students the opportunity to rehearse their recital dance in their full costume, hair, and make-up with the stage, lighting, and sound. This helps students and parents understand the recital process and what to expect during the evening of the recital.
  • Students must be present at their assigned dress rehearsal time for each of their designated recital dances to participate in the evening recital. If a student is enrolled in three dance classes, i.e. ballet, jazz, and tap, then they will have three separate dress rehearsals times to attend and practice each dance in their full costume, hair, and make-up with the stage, lighting, and sound. Students must arrive to dress rehearsal at least 15 minutes early in their full costume as well as complete hair and make-up.  Costume cover-ups are encouraged.
  • Students who miss their designated rehearsal time are not permitted to perform in the evening recital.
  • The office will provide dress rehearsal dates and times no later than May. See Important Dates for more information.

  • A non-refundable recital fee is due by March for all students participating in the annual dance recital. The first installment is applied to the February tuition statement and second installment is applied to the March tuition statement.
  • The recital fee includes includes one printed copy of the yearbook and one professional digital copy of the performance. This recital fee also covers the cost of the local venue, lighting, sound, security, and professional videography.

  • A non-refundable costume fee is due by January for all students participating in the annual dance recital. The first installment is applied to the November tuition statement and second installment is applied to the January tuition statement.

  • A complimentary yearbook will be provided to each studentl. The yearbook includes an individual headshot of each student, group class pictures, and highlights from the year.
  • "Shout Out" pictures of individual students, siblings, or friends may be purchased for the yearbook as a 4x5 or 8x10. Customized messages may be added to the dance picture by family members to show encouragement and support. The studio will select the photos for the yearbook.

  •  A recital t-shirt is included with the recital fee.

  • A professional digital videography copy of the performance is provided to each student with the recital fee.
